Procedure for participating
in this Online
Music & Dance Competitions
There are 4 phases
(Timelines given in the next section)
1. Pay and Register –
All major cards(domestic & insternational) are accepted.

2. Round 1 – Send your video recording.
Shortlisted participants will move to the Final round.
3. Final Round – Send your new video recording.
4. Finale Results will be announced on our Social media pages & Website.
Note – Shortlisted participants from each of the rounds will be intimated through email(A link will be provided to submit the video for the following round).Results announcements of both the rounds will be on our website/social media pages.
– The participants videos may be uploaded to Veenadhari Institutes’ social media pages in full or part.
**Winners will be awarded with trophy along with e-certificate of merit and performance opportunity on our Facebook & YouTube pages – Veenadhari Institute of Music**
Trophy and certificate can be sent to any Indian address

Competitions play a role in motivating students to perform and excel and offer a lot more reward than just the winning prize. Competitions offer a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyze and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude. Competitions also encourage students to adopt innovative techniques and develop their ideas and skills.

Please Note : You cannot perform the same item in the next rounds.(If you get shortlisted).
The Finale Round will also require a Video Submission.
This is because we have received quite a lot of requests related to network issues if conducted as a Live Finale Event.
Considering these requests and ensuring that there should be no external impacts(beyond our control) impacting the performances, we have decided to go ahead with Video Submission for the Finale Round also.

KalaSourabha History
Music & Dance Competitions to provide a platform for participants in Music and Dance to showcase their talent in various categories like Carnatic Classical Music, Devotional Music, Film Music and Bharatanatyam. We started this initially just for the students of the Institute. The enthusiasm we saw in them and the improvements they showcased were tremendous. Then we thought to expand it across all students who are learning Music & Dance. We have been conducting this Competition for the past 4 years. In the previous years, this was conducted in person in Ganjam Mantapa, Basavangudi, Bengaluru. Participating in the Music Competition helps in gaining confidence. Some people who have any kind of stage fear, these kind of competitions provide an opportunity for them to overcome their fear and in reality participating in any competition is important(winning or losing really doesn’t matter – but these things will help you in the real challenges in life also). The results of competition should always be taken positively and try to improve and then do better next time.

This year, due to the current situation, we had to host the competition Online. We were quite apprehensive to start it online. But we received an overwhelming response for this competition. We conducted competitions for the below categories for all the different age groups (Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior):
Carnatic Music Classical – Vocal and Instrumental
Devotional Music – Vocal and Instrumental
Bharatanatyam
Film Music
The 1st round was done through judging the Video recordings of the participants by our esteemed judges. The 2nd round was done Live on Zoom with both the participants and judges connected. This was done for a back to back 4 days and was very well received by participants and their parents too. We received great feedback from the parents of the participants who expressed their happiness towards the way the competition was held and that is really gratifying for us, the team of Veenadhari. These things really make us feel very good and worthy of the efforts that we have put in. On the Finale Day, we announced the winners in each of the categories in a Live Facebook Event.
